Madeleine Gleave is Chief Data Scientist at Nithio, a new analytics and finance platform dedicated to scaling off-grid electricity access across Africa. Madeleine was previously the Advanced Implementation Specialist for Dharma.ai, where she led the implementation of Dharma’s data management software with major iNGOs and companies. Prior to Dharma, Madeleine worked at the International Rescue Committee, leading policy analysis and advocacy strategies for more efficient, data-driven humanitarian aid and operations. Madeleine has also conducted research on energy access and multilateral investment at the Center for Global Development, and has extensive field experience in Nigeria and Uganda, working on various projects involving the Nollywood film industry, SMS-based crowdsourcing initiatives, perceptions of foreign aid, and NGO effectiveness. She's obsessive about data visualization and has a personal mission to rid the world of 3D pie charts.
