Helene Purcell is in the 4th year of her PhD in economics at Fordham University in New York City. Her research focuses on development economics, specifically climate change adaptation, and she is currently working on research surrounding risk preferences and natural disasters in Indonesia. Previously, Helene worked as a senior consultant at Navigant Economics, where she performed in-depth research and analyses to support expert testimony in securities and anti-trust litigation and assisted in drafting expert reports on economic damages. Additionally, she worked at Citibank as a credit analyst in the commercial banking group, where she completed underwriting requests for credit extensions for middle-market clients through integrated sales and risk approach. Helene has an undergraduate degree in Economics and International Business from Villanova University and an MA in Economics from Fordham University.
