Mr. Soham Banerji brings ten years of experience providing operational leadership and support to donor-funded projects worldwide, including five years of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) experience performing and overseeing data collection and assessment, impact and performance evaluations, and survey implementation. He is a demonstrated evaluator and has academic training in impact measurement, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and experimental/quasi-experimental methods. Mr. Banerji joined SI’s Strategy Performance and Learning Division as a PM where he has managed USG funded evaluations and assessments including a youth assessment for USAID/Cambodia to inform CDCS development, a mid-term performance evaluation (PE) of a Private Sector Development Activity for USAID/Burma, a PE of USAID’s Oceans and Fisheries Partnership for USAID/RDMA, a Roads and Rehabilitation evaluation for MCC/Senegal and a PE of the US Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation for State Department/ECA. Prior to joining SI, Mr. Banerji served as Senior MEL Associate and completed over 15 evaluations for the US Government, developing methods, designing and implementing surveys, and conducting analysis and reporting. He provided coordination and direction to projects like the USAID/DOS Trans-Sahara Counter-Terrorism Partnership Program Evaluation, DOS Global Security Contingency Fund, the USAID/A Ganar & Caribbean Youth Empowerment Program Mid-Term PE, and DOS’ Effectiveness of Diplomacy Program, which sought to evaluate its educational, cultural and public diplomacy outreach and exchange programs. Mr. Banerji holds a M.Sc. in Global Human Development from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Economics and International Studies from Macalester College.
